On The Edge
By James Pitter
David is a shy and sensitive 18-year-old boy seeking acceptance from his mother and Catholic father after his admission to being gay.
The growing tension between father and son eventually explodes sending the main character on a painful journey in which his growing paranoia is exacerbated by parochial homophobia.
Fate and circumstance conspire to drive the story to its dramatic resolution where the central theme betrays the notion that people are not always what they seem.
